The story of Black Pearl...

Building new cabin and upper cabin

- building new poles to strenghten the

banister arround the boat

Traditional Croatian boat - Leut

Leut is a type of wooden boat, which can be found along the Mediterranean coast. Its lenght is between 7 and 12 meters, and the widght is one third of the lenght. The hull has a sharp shape. On the bow, in deck level, there is a foredeck, which was used for jumping onto the shore. It is bulit very firmly that enabled it to withstand hard strains. For different parts of the boat, different parts of wood were used (oakwood for the keel, mulberry or elmwood for boat ribs and pinewood for the deck). This type of boat can stand out great waves, bad weather and hard winds. In the past was used for fishing and transportation of different cargos such as sand, wine etc.

My beginnings...

Many, many years ago, in 1949. our boat was born. At that time used for transportaiton along the Adriatic sea, as a working boat. After years of serving people, becoming old and time-worned, the time came to change something about its future.

At that time, we saw its future in a different way, also serving people, but in a better way.

An idea was born. Wanting to offer people who want to enjoy and explore our beautiful sea something unique, a boat that had a touch of tradition and luxury, we decided to start our 4 year project, which today sails along the coast, proudly representing its name - Black Pearl.
